I missed my calling

I just found this REALLY cool Greek Study Bible website and pointed it out to a couple friends of mine who are also students of Koine.  One of them noted that, on this site, verbs are highlighted in red and nouns in blue.  He felt this contradicted the popular romantic poem.  My efforts to show that this was not the case led me to afflict the world with my attempts at poetry (ish):

Verbs are in red
Nouns are in blue
Whatever this means
None can construe

A haiku:

Verbs are found in red
Nouns the color of denim
A grammar haiku

A limerick:

All verbs are written in red
Nouns blue the site also said
Said Doyle, “Is that right?”
Said Lee, “Sure beats white!”
While poetry hurt Brian’s head.

and a koan:

Why are verbs red and nouns blue?
A shoe with a hole.

All pretty awful, eh? 🙂
