I hate Earth Day. For some reason, the Hollywood better-than-yous feel the need to scatter across the country telling me how we’re destroying the planet, all the while living the other 364.2425 days in giant mansions, flying in private jets, and driving Hummers. Sure, as Christians, we should all be good stewards of the planet, but Earth Day, and the week of “green” nonsense that comes with it, grates more than a Barbra Streisand song. As a nice antidote, I present to you (with apologies for a touch of coarser content), Louis Black:
My Yahoo has a kinda neat, but mostly annoying feature on its news page. If you hover over a link, it gives you a preview of the article, which is neat. If you click on it, though, it *sometimes* pops up a dialog with a larger preview and you need to click another link to go to the article itself. If you ctrl-click (or middle click) on the link, you go straight to the article in a new tab or window. At any rate, I was browsing the headlines and moused over one titled ” Age of ‘green economics’ is upon us: U.N.’s Ban” which got me this preview:
So, based on my understanding of the U.N.’s true function, my mind finished that as follows:
Of course, that’s not what the article said, but I’m pretty sure that’s what it meant…

The source of one my biggest annoyances is environmentalists, with their de facto commander-in-chief, Saint Al Gore. Understand that I’m all for being a good steward of the God’s good earth, but these people are beyond the pale. Which brings me to this article (not to mention a nice sentence fragment).
